Library & Technology Services
The Chatsworth Hills Academy (CHA) Library houses a collection of over 7,000 fiction and non-fiction books and features a literature-based program for Early Childhood Division through the Lower School. All classes visit the library weekly, and the librarian also spends an additional in-class session with the preschool students. The librarian introduces different genres of literature as well as lessons on how to use library materials. Working closely with the classroom teachers, the librarian enhances the curricular program. The library is an integral part of the educational development of the student at Chatsworth Hills Academy. Library privileges are also extended to parents of CHA students and the librarian is available to recommend books. In addition, interactive technology is used for research in a grade appropriate manner.
Each year, the library sponsors two book fairs that permit students to select for purchase a variety of books. Parent volunteers are essential contributors to this educational event.
A safe, happy and enriching environment before and after school.
